Darkness falls upon us
Like black lightning from the sky
It hits once, twice, then again
You don’t know where you are
Where this comes from
Everything goes blank
Your breath sinks with its own weight
The heaviest weight is one of your own emptiness.
Darkness falls upon us
It doesn’t care who you are
The light goes out in your eyes
Everything fades away
The only sound you hear is your own
The one that never comes out
Fear wins again, the lightning strikes
But can you ever cry?
What is fear if not the sight of one’s own tears?
Darkness runs fast
Sometimes faster than you can run towards the light
Darkness will fall
Lightning will strike
Once, twice.
